Time on my hands

Winter break is finally here!! The other day, I made these amazing oreo truffles. They look like popsicles here because I had to dip them in chocolate. Alright back to watching a show and painting my nails.

That is a glimpse of the room I spent millions of hours practicing piano this past semester. I have conquered the longest piece I've memoried in a short amount of time thus far. Nine minutes and 14 pages. Chopin's Ballade #3 in Ab major. Now I'm at home recovering from all the stress of finals and moving finalllyyyy.

Winter is here

There is something magical a cold winter wold that's covered in snow. However I hate the cold, I cannot help but love looking out and seeing everything glittering in white. Moody is so awesome here is a little picture I took outside the Sweeting building.

I've been thinking about how we see one another. Is it possible to see someone for their true worth? I mean how does God see each one of us here on earth? What does it mean that Christ died for the world, but not all will receive Him? And does that diminish your value if you reject Him? If I believe that everyone is made in the image of God, this should overflow to how I treat individuals whether they are friends of mine or people on the streets. Is it enough to just not be rude to all the other people I come in contact with everyday? This simple idea of everyone being in the image of God is so profound, and is essential for me to try my best to understand it. That is because that would hopefully determine how I treat pretty much everyone.

I'm just craving this delish cherry chocolate malt cupcake right now!!! Too bad I don't have the right ingredients in the kitchen. Buuut I have to say I did have an amazing lunch: english muffin pesto guac egg sandwich. It was heavenly.

Too long

That's how I feel about being sick. I've been sick since last thursday, and its been a really really rough week. It started with the most horrible flu with body aches, chills, fever and all, which lasted for a bad 4 days. Then that transitioned into just feeling sick with a bad cough, and I felt like I was getting better. So wednesday afternoon a pain that was sorta bothering me was screaming at me, and a couple hours later I went into the ER. After long hours of waiting, I got a xray done, and found out I had pneumonia. Thankfully, it wasn't severe enough where I had to stay at the hospital. So now I'm on antibiotics and waiting for it to take away the pneumonia. So that's my week summary.

Goodbye Chicago Hello Califonia!

Ironically its raining so hard at home right now, but that's not enough to dampen my spirits! Today is a great day. A family trip to the dentist, a new haircut, a probable social at my house with some college students from church, and a music practice for a wedding. Perfect.

Anyways I've been home alittle more than a week, and its been pretty awesome so far. I've been sleeping in pretty often, reading alot (I just read the Alchemist), babysitting, teaching piano, hanging out with the fam as well as friends, and so I would say its pretty calm. However starting in a week its going to start getting crazy with two of my friends getting married! Oh and my sister went to prom! And I had the priviledge to do her hair and makeup yay!
